I have dug Deep.
And turned the Soil Over.
Cast away the Stones.
Look - there are Fresh Furrows Now
No longer Compacted and Impervious
Ready to suck in Life Breath
To Hold Air and Water
To Take, and to Give Back
Seeds into Fruits
I will work Hard
Water and weed
I think the Yield will be Good
From this Well-tilled Heart.
lovely lines...nicely crafted words!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful poem. It's simple, but deep as well. How you'd care for the earth, and the earth in turn will care for so many things. It's a chain, isn't it? Beautiful lines, I LOVE IT :D :D
